These particular shoes have hard plastic buckles. The problem is that the buckles, particularly the ones used to adjust the heel tightness, tend to dig into my feet as I walk.
I've chosen to rate accordingly because the buckle material is not forgiving but is not indicative of the build quality nor the customer service, which was very responsive and courteous.
I got these shoes sort of on a whim I wanted something colourful and that popped out but still worked with outdoor water active life. Wasn't sure how comfortable they would be but now I wear them when I am not directly in the need for water safe shoe I walked 8km in them and was very comfortable. Very happily surprised.
