Johnie has always been a voracious reader, so naturally, she gravitates toward adventures that might make for a good story. From helping to produce a 250-mile relay race across public lands to advocate for their protection to documenting a kayak crossing of the Florida Straits, she hopes her work might inspire others to take action to protect the environment. When she’s not struggling up the steep learning curves of surf and climbing photography, she’s likely reading, arguing about which Star Wars episode is best, or listening to the Pop Culture Happy Hour podcast. Johnie lives on the East Coast with her husband, golden retriever, and parrot.
