With roots in Northern Minnesota, Andy Cochrane is the son of two park rangers. He learned to paddle, hike and camp as a kid and went on to become a whitewater guide after college. He then moved west to San Francisco, earned an MBA, and worked in software for a handful of years. He now works freelance, lives simple, and wanders the west in his Toyota Tacoma with his dog, Bea.
